This mug is made from our house, black clay body and glazed in our standard copper glaze. It was fired in our gas kiln, in reduction to cone 10. A copper red glaze is usually red as the name suggest, but in the case of this pot, we get a lovely purple because of an interaction of the cobalt in the clay body with the copper red glaze.
